Every day, countless children walk or bike to schools located along School Road, risking their well-being on a route that lacks sufficient pedestrian safety measures. Our children deserve a safe journey to school, free from the looming threat of traffic accidents.

School Road, a crucial artery for residents, has become increasingly perilous. Despite its significance, it lacks proper crosswalks, traffic calming measures, and adequate signage. The absence of these essential safety features has contributed to numerous near misses and endangers not just school-aged children, but all residents who rely on walking or cycling as their means of transportation. Studies by the National Safety Council reveal that pedestrian safety improvements, such as crosswalks and speed humps, can reduce traffic-related injuries by up to 85%.
