Enforce The Samaritans Duty To Protect All Children!
The Issue
As you may have recently seen in Fort Wayne News, a local native mother 32 years of age, abandoned her 5 year old Non Verbal Autistic son outside at night while raining. This boy was found in Ohio 70 miles from his home, walking along a road where danger was all around. It’s because a good samaritan who drove past and noticed him, is why this boy is alive. The mother is currently looking at possibly 11 years in prison for kidnapping and child endangerment. Here is the thing though, there was a second adult in the car at the time of this taking place. A man! An Adult! This particular adult is not being charged at all for child endangerment, nor as an acting accessory to this poor boys abandonment. What does that say for any other child who is put in this situation in the future, and what our system allows for non guardian obligated citizens to do?
This petition is to place all citizens in the responsibility to protect All children! If there is an acting citizen allowing the endangerment, and harm of a child to happen, then they as much as the child’s guardian should be held accountable, and charged within reason for such an act.
Child endangerment and aiding in the act, is and what should be the charge for this secondary passenger that allowed this to happen! This should be the charge for all those who commit such heinous acts to all children..
