My name is Dr. Prateek Patel, and as a doctor, I have witnessed something deeply painful — something that is silently harming thousands of Indian families.

In my medical practice, I have seen patients who should have received timely treatment, but instead they went to a “baba,” “healer,” or “tantrik” who promised a miracle cure.

Some were told:

“Cancer cured in 7 day's.”

“"Secret treatment for infertility.".”

"Depression and mental illness will be removed by tantrik vidya (occult/mystical knowledge)."

"Root treatment (permanent cure) for Diabetes."

 

And the result?

By the time they came to the hospital,

their condition had worsened so much that medical treatment could no longer help them.

Families lose not only their money…

They lose hope, time, dignity, and sometimes life itself.

As doctors, we follow strict rules, licensing, ethics, and scientific guidelines.

But fake healers face no rules, no regulation, no accountability.

ANYONE can claim to cure ANY disease.

 

I Am Not Against Spirituality Or Faith.

Every Indian Has The Right To Believe.

 

But no one has the right to lie, cheat, and play with people’s lives.

It breaks my heart when I see poor families selling their land, jewellery, or savings because they believed in a false “miracle”.

How many more people must suffer before we act?

How many more lives must be destroyed before we say:

“Enough. We need regulation.”

 

This petition is not about religion.

This is not about faith.

This is about public safety.

This is about stopping fraud.

This is about saving lives.

 

I am filing this petition because I believe every Indian deserves protection from dangerous, unscientific, and deceptive miracle-cure claims.

 

This petition isn’t against BAMS, BHMS, Ayurveda or any medical system.

It is only against fraud, lies, and dangerous miracle-cure claims

.

All I ask is one simple thing:

👉Make certification mandatory for anyone who claims to “heal” or “treat” diseases.

👉Stop miracle-cure advertisements that mislead people.

👉Put basic guidelines so patients don’t fall into these traps.

 

If you believe that people deserve truth, safety, and dignity…
