The monthly energy bill by Meralco does not show the previous and current meter readings instead, it just shows the total monthly consumption. This makes it difficult for consumers to check if the bill is accurate. With the recent complaints from a lot of subscribers of being overbilled, it is hard to actually check in the absence of the actual readings.  

A few years ago, the Meralco bills included the readings but somehow when the company revised the bill format, they took these off. This creates an issue since the consumers have no way to double check the accuracy not unless they take note of the meter readings monthly on their own.

We are raising this petition to have Meralco include the actual meter readings in their bills.
