Mt Eden is a culturally diverse neighborhood in the West Bronx. While Mt. Eden serves as a portrait of the working class and the diversity of New York, the music has become intolerable to tenants. Auto shops on Jerome repeatedly display their disregard for paying tenants who have work or need a quality night's sleep. Blasting music at obscene levels on workdays that will not stop until 7 A.M using speakers they put in their cars. While music is deeply cherished in Latino culture, loud music has become a nuisance to residents of Mt. Eden. The apathy of the people disrupting our night and the effects of abnormally loud music needs attention from our politicians and borough leaders. Elderly, working people, young children, disabled vets, and animals should not have to suffer from noise pollution by careless people. Please sign this petition so we can have politicians aware of the quality of our life and the disturbance the loud music has to our lives and loved ones.
