As a lifelong Wausau area resident, I follow all of our local news sources and sometimes depend on them for weather alerts & local happenings. Anyway on Facebook there is one of those news outlets that is a habitual offender of out of state click bait...WSAW News Channel 7!!! 

I have no problem with WSAW reporting national news, however they pull the ultimate click bait move by not listing the State/Or City in the title of the Facebook article & post that the news occurred in, thus misleading all of the local followers expecting local news, this problem is further exasperated by the frequency in which they post it. I am born and raised in the Wausau area and as a local resident (where WSAW is based out of) I know there is a lot more local news they could be reporting on, we're local people expecting local news, not stuff that is better reported on by National Networks.

What do I want out of this petition? I want WSAW to (at the bare minimum) to start labeling what STATE or CITY they are reporting on IN THE TITLE of their non local article posts on Facebook & elsewhere that the news occured in and to end their misleading titles that mislead locals to click on out of state junk that they could see on CNN and elsewhere. I also want them to remember that they are first and foremost a Wausau area & Wisconsin News Outlet. Lastly if I'm being greedy, a proof reader for their Facebook & Website articles, I'm sure I have a few mistakes here, but I don't do this for a living, they do!
