End Unfair Parking Restrictions at Sapphire Road for Beach Access

The Issue

My name is an undersigned user who has had enough of the unjustifiable parking restrictions at Sapphire Road leading to Sapphire Park. This petition is born from my personal vexation. Living in the area, this is the only beach parking we have, and yet I, among others, constantly receive tickets even though I hold a resident pass. It seems like the parking area is just another means for the versus-body to squeeze money out of us. Enough is enough, and we refuse to let them win.

Statistically, beach towns with sufficient parking facilities have happier residents and more tourists, resulting in significant economic advantage (Town Planning Review, 2018). Sapphire park is a gem in our community and should be accessible to everyone, residents and outsiders alike. However, the intense parking clampdown is turning it into a restricted area, discouraging many from visiting our beautiful community. If this continues, we are at risk of losing the very charm that makes our place special.

This petition calls on the local authorities to remove the unfair restrictions on Sapphire Road parking area, and allow reasonable access to Sapphire Park. It’s about making our beach easily accessible without the constant fear of receiving a ticket. Our community should be enjoyed, not monetized. Please, lend your voice and sign this petition. Let us reclaim our spaces, for ourselves and for future generations.
