President Trump just ordered a full-scale federal investigation into an outrageous conspiracy theory. The claim? That Joe Biden was secretly replaced by a robotic clone—and that official acts of his presidency might be invalid because some were signed using an autopen, a legal tool used by presidents for decades. Trump himself acknowledges he uses the same system.

This isn’t leadership. It’s a political stunt. And worse—it’s burning through taxpayer dollars and federal resources that should be focused on real problems Americans face.

The Department of Justice and the White House counsel’s office are now being used to legitimize a fantasy that has no basis in law or fact. Every minute spent on this sham investigation is a minute stolen from the urgent work of governing.
