Hi, I'm Annie, I live on Ermine Road in Ladywell. Daily, I see dangerous and potentially life-threatening driving in Ladywell, particularly on Vicars Hill and Gillian Street.

From 3pm onwards, these roads are a deathtrap, with drivers speeding, mounting kerbs and driving on the wrong side of the road for long stretches at speed to cut across traffic.

The council and police must act to fine and challenge these dangerous drivers before someone is killed. School children, elderly people, as well as all the wider community cannot safely walk home from their schools or local parks while this continues. There are five primary and secondary schools close to these roads and they key times are when children are trying to get home from school.

This is an issue that affects local businesses too. If people do not feel safe to access local shops, cafes and pubs on foot or by bicycle, we will see diminished footfall and Ladywell will stop being the great place we all know and love!
