2023 in a so called modern Ireland, Women with children have been sent to prison,  not forgetting all the men too, but women with children sent to prison,  elderly women sent to prison. 

Why you may ask

For not having the money to pay 160e TV licence fee 

Can you believe that!!!! 

Can you believe that especially now when we know that all those women went to prison so that the likes of RYAN TURBIDY got 100s of thousands of euro extra in hidden bonus payments.

Now only that, but high up RTE staff used TV licence fee money for trips abroad to rugby matches,  corporate boxes for matches costing 1000s, and dinner parties for companies like Renault.

It is an utter disgrace,  that ordinary folk especially women trying to raise their children are put in prison for not paying the TV licence fee,  most probably simply cannot afford it, put into prison, demeaning and shaming them, whilst that money they are put into prison for not paying is going into the pockets of the so called elite of Irish society. 

It is like something from a Charles Dickens story 

Please sign this petition to end the TV licence fee.

It is a money racket 

It should NOT be replaced with a broadcasting fee.

NO MORE MONEY FROM THE PUBLIC TO EVER GO TO RTE 

Ideally,  RTE should be abolished,  I know no one in Ireland who wants RTE,  it's a DRACONIAN institution well past its days. 

Get rid of the TV licence fee with no broadcasting fee in its place

No more forced payment of a TV licence fee to RTE

AND WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT NO MORE PRISON FOR ANYONE WHOSE NOT PAID A TV LICENCE FEE
