End the Silent Suffering: Protect Children from Parental Alienation

The Issue

Parental alienation is a heart-wrenching reality that's affecting families across the globe, leaving scars that last a lifetime. Join us in our mission to shed light on this growing crisis and demand immediate action to protect our children's emotional and psychological health.

Parental alienation is the painful manipulation of a child's perception, tearing them away from one loving parent. The consequences are devastating - shattered self-esteem, lifelong emotional scars, and a future clouded with anxiety and depression.

Research tells us that children suffering from parental alienation face a grim future – higher rates of depression, anxiety disorders, addiction, academic struggles, and difficulties forming healthy relationships (Johnston & Roseby, 1997; Baker & Darnall, 2006).

Shockingly, 11-15% of divorces involve this heart-wrenching ordeal (Fidler & Bala, 2010), painting a stark picture of the crisis we face.

We implore lawmakers and authorities to act swiftly and decisively:

  •  Launch comprehensive campaigns that enlighten parents about the destructive impact of parental alienation on their children.
  • Lobby for laws recognizing parental alienation as emotional abuse and providing legal remedies for affected families.
  • Establish accessible counseling services for families facing parental alienation. Focus on rebuilding healthy co-parenting relationships, always with the child's best interests in mind.
  •  Collaborate with mental health professionals and legal experts to create specialized training programs that equip them to identify and combat parental alienation.

By signing this petition, you are demanding worldwide recognition of the heartbreaking toll parental alienation takes on our children. Let us unite to establish preventive measures and support systems that safeguard our children during these painful family disputes.

Stand with us against parental alienation, ensuring every child grows up in a loving environment with both parents actively involved in their lives.
