Mercado de Sonora ( Senora Market)

This market has specialized in a variety of merchandise such as pottery, party items, and live animals — and the two which make it notable, herbal medicine and items related to magic and the occult.

I went a week ago on a Market Tour all was going well, I was seeing the amazing herbs and spices they use, the fun party items and the witchcraft stuff they had for sale.

But as we walked further we got to the live animal section, this section will forever be embedded in my mind.

The animals were kept in such a dirty, unsafe and horrible way, there were dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, baby chick's, chickens, goats, birds and lots more all crammed into a cage, some dogs were too big for their cage, the cages were on top of each other and lots of animals looked sick. There also wasn't any food or water in their cages.

Lots of animals were in distess, kittens meowing trying to get out.

I walked up to one of the open cages to see the four puppies, all were trying to get out, I picked up one and gave him a hug and then I played with the others.

This broke my heart having to leave them, they still had that new puppy smell..

Until then I've been wanting to go back and rescue them four puppies, but unfortunately I've had no luck with shelters or bring them back to the UK.

I can't go back to the UK without doing something. 

So I've started this petition to hopefully stop the selling of these animals and spread awareness.

Tourist are not very welcomed there and you're not aloud to take pictures.
