End the Labelling of Small Cages as Suitable Animal Homes

The Issue

My love for animals has always been a central part of who I am. From my free-roam bunny, dogs, and birds, to my custom enclosures for my tortoise and snakes, I have witnessed the paramount importance of space, love, and appropriate care for animals.

However, it deeply saddens me when pet stores sell small cages marketed with the images of rabbits, guinea pigs or similar animals. This deceptive advertising propagates a fallacious narrative that it's acceptable to confine these animals in these inadequate habitats—this is far from the truth.

Small animals require far more space than what most commercially available cages provide. By endorsing these small cages, we are contributing to an ingrained culture of neglect and mistreatment of these innocent creatures.

This deceitful labeling not only misguides potential pet owners but also instigates enduring harm to the animals. It goes against the fundamental principles of animal welfare and care. We need to end this harmful labeling that misrepresents the real needs of our precious pets.

This issue reaches close to my heart. Therefore, I implore you, as fellow animal lovers and advocates for ethical treatment, to join me. Let's convince pet stores to stop labeling small animal cages with misleading images and names, perpetuating harm. Animals deserve better than this; let's not confine them but dedicate ourselves to their proper care and love.

Please, sign this petition to give our small animals the respect and love they deserve.
