End the Exploitation: Close All Sweatshops Worldwide

The Issue

I am deeply moved by the difficult conditions of sweatshop workers across the globe. Their stories of enduring long hours, receiving low wages, and suffering psychological distress are heartbreaking. It is a harsh reality that millions are trapped in this cycle of exploitation and poverty.

Sweatshops are notorious for their poor working conditions, low wages, and excessive working hours. According to Global Labor Justice (2018), an estimated 16 million people work in such conditions worldwide. These workers often earn less than the minimum wage, sometimes as little as $1 per day.

The mental health impact on these workers is also significant. A study by Mental Health Foundation (2019) found that prolonged exposure to stressful working conditions can lead to anxiety and depression.

In 2010 there we're 18 suicide attempts and 14 confirmed deaths after the apple contractors we're forcing staff to do overtime involuntary and employing underage workers at the factory. Even Disney has put themselves in this position in 2011 when a worker killed herself after being repeatedly shouted at by bosses.

This petition calls for an end to this exploitative practice globally. We urge governments, corporations, and international organizations to enforce stricter labor laws that ensure fair pay and humane working conditions for all workers.

I can see how companies abuse the use of sweatshops. It is really sad to see that these big companies have the power to force people to work in such hard conditions and while barely getting paid is just so hard to watch, i don’t understand how they could do this to actual human beings.

It's time we stand up against this form of modern-day slavery! Please join me in calling for an end to sweatshops worldwide - sign this petition today!
