Smartpass infringes on our basic rights as students. There are so many ways how this complicates things even more for students and teachers. Using the restroom or getting a drink of water should be a basic right as a student. Having a limit for ties using the bathroom and having a timer is unfair. Understanding that a teacher can override the number of passes you can use does not make the situation better. Some students have medical issues that would have them using the restroom or get water 5+ times per day, and that student might not feel comfortable sharing with a teacher. Just because a small amount of students are "wandering" the halls does not mean CHS administrators punish a student body of over 1000 kids. Please sign and get this petition out, so the basic rights of students at CHS are being heard.
