In Australia, Statistics say over 20% of males and 15% of females aged 8 to 18 years reporting being bullied at least once a week. This environment of fear and intimidation can severely impact a student's mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, not forgetting the negative impact on their academic progress. A student who has been bullied has a high probability of experiencing loneliness, depression, low self-esteem, poor health, academic problems, and even suicidal thoughts.

Let's install zero tolerance for bullying and violence in our schools and invest more in counselling and positive reinforcement strategies, which have been proven to reduce these occurrences.
