This petition is created, anonymously, collectively, by concerned and stressed students and teachers.

IXL, an infamous worldwide learning platform, has a stressful user interface, despicable "smart score" progression (going from 99 to 76 with one question, etc.), and high costs, mentally and monetary.

Numerous studies and reviews by teachers and scholars, just on the east coast:

I'm not sure if anyone here has used IXL or not, but I must say, in my almost 10 years of teaching...I have not had students hate anything more than IXL.

It's brain drain. It's stressful. It's punishing. It's torture for the students. It makes them angry. And we are being asked to do it regularly, almost everyday of every week because of "data." We must submit monthly benchmarks to our supervisors. I have had students literally cry over it. And in another class, a student literally threw his computer at the wall because of IXL.

I've used tons of digital resources, online curricula, websites/apps, LMS, and gamification over the last decade...but NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, has been a negative as much as IXL.

So, #### IXL. For pitching their product as a "effective, flexible, and trusted." It's effectively making my students hate school, it's as flexible as a steel beam, and I trust that they are crushing kids mental health.
