End inhumane conditions on all factory farms

The Issue

The reality of factory farming conditions are extreme, inhumane, and morally unacceptable. Animals—including chickens, turkeys, pigs, and cows—are confined in tiny cages or crates where they cannot move freely, spread their wings, touch grass, see sunlight, or engage in any natural behavior. Many live their entire lives in these cramped spaces, never seeing the daylight and enduring immense physical and psychological distress until slaughter or when the hen is “spent”.

The suffering these animals endure is unimaginable. Male chicks are ground alive on their first day, their tiny bodies helpless in the machinery. Chickens are crammed so tightly into crates the size of a desk drawer that they cannot move, stretch, or even breathe comfortably, and some are tossed into fire when nails grow too long. Ventilation shutdowns leave animals suffocating, fearful and screaming while still alive, screaming for help that will never come. Baby calves are violently separated from their mothers on their very first day, crying in confusion and fear. In some facilities, workers have been documented sexually abusing animals, urinating on cows, and beating the life of out chickens and turkeys.  It is impossible to overstate the helplessness and terror these creatures endure every single day.

Many animals endure beatings, neglect, and unspeakable cruelty. These conditions are well-documented in videos and investigative reports by animal rights organizations, making it impossible for us to turn a blind eye to their suffering. Yet, current regulations are grossly inadequate, leaving these animals unprotected and vulnerable.

What we need is urgent intervention. First, thorough investigations must be conducted to uncover and document the cruelty present in these facilities. We are calling for enforcement bodies to initiate these investigations immediately.

Secondly, there needs to be legal reform. Our laws must evolve to offer real protection to these animals. Establishing stronger animal welfare regulations, implementing harsher penalties for abuse, and ensuring large-scale farms are regularly inspected and randomly inspected by independent third-party animal welfare groups are actionable steps we must take. All animals should be pasture-raised or able to go outside to exhibit natural behaviors.

By supporting this petition, you are joining a call for change that could relieve countless animals from lives overshadowed by pain and misery into conditions where they can finally live peacefully, reflecting their natural behaviors. Let us advocate for a world where all creatures, big or small, are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

The Scriptures make it clear that we are called to care for the innocent and defenseless:

 • “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat… they will neither harm nor destroy on my holy mountain.” (Isaiah 11:6–9)

 • “The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.” (Proverbs 12:10)

 • “A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.” (Proverbs 12:10)

 • “The Lord will make a covenant with all the animals and they shall lie down in safety.” (Isaiah 11:6–9)

 • “The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.” (Psalm 145:9)

“The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”attributed to Mahatma Gandhi

“Compassion is the root of all kindness; extend it to all living beings, for all life seeks happiness and freedom from suffering.”  -Metta Sutta

Please sign this petition to demand justice and compassion for the innocent lives suffering in factory farms. Together, we can make a difference and initiate the reform that is so desperately needed. Your voice can be the catalyst for monumental change.
