I am a horse riding enthusiast and my passion for these majestic creatures has led me to discover the grim reality of horse slaughter in Canada. Every year, thousands of horses are slaughtered for their meat, often under incredibly cruel conditions. According to the Canadian Horse Defence Coalition, thousands and thousands of horses are slaughtered each year. This practice is not only cruel but also unnecessary as there are many alternatives available such as adoption or retirement programs for these beautiful animals.

Horses have served humans throughout history, providing transportation and companionship. They deserve our respect and compassion rather than being treated as mere commodities. It's time we put an end to this brutal practice and give horses the dignity they deserve.
