We, the undersigned, call on Appen to address the issue of pay inequality and discrimination within their organization. We have been made aware that individuals from certain racial and ethnic backgrounds, as well as individuals working from certain locations, are being paid significantly less than their white counterparts, despite similar qualifications and experience. This is unacceptable and must be addressed immediately.

We understand that Appen is helping companies that need data collection to solve human problems, but we believe that the company should also ensure that all the workers working on these projects are compensated fairly and with the same payment, regardless of their background or location.

We demand that Appen conduct a thorough investigation into their pay practices and take immediate action to address any pay disparities that are found. We also call for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that all employees are compensated fairly, without discrimination, and with the same payment, regardless of their background or location.

Appen has a responsibility to provide equal opportunities and fair pay for all employees, regardless of their background or location. Indirectly slaving people is not acceptable. We stand in solidarity with those who have been affected by pay inequality and discrimination, and we will not rest until this issue is resolved.
