Our beloved dog, Marley, a testament to loyalty and friendship, was refused medical treatment due to his breed. This incident is not isolated as across the world, certain dog breeds face unfair discrimination in veterinary care and housing. According to a study in the Journal of Veterinary Behavior, some dog breeds such as Pit Bulls and Rottweilers are often stereotyped as 'dangerous', causing biases in veterinary care (Journal of Veterinary Behavior, 2016).
