End Department of Defense sponsored Animal Abuse

The Issue

End Taxpayer-Funded Cruelty to Beagles, Cats, and Other Animals

Petition Target:
U.S. Congress and the National Institutes of Health (NIH)

We, the American people, call for an immediate end to cruel, wasteful, and inhumane taxpayer-funded animal experiments uncovered by investigations from the White Coat Waste Project (WCW). These experiments, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), not only violate basic standards of animal welfare, but also lack transparency and scientific justification in the modern age.

Among the disturbing procedures documented are:

Sedation of beagle puppies and exposure to sandflies carrying deadly parasites, causing prolonged suffering.
Surgical removal of vocal cords from dogs to silence their cries during painful testing.
Forced drug toxicity testing on dogs and primates, often ending in euthanasia.
Drilling holes into the skulls of young cats, followed by the insertion of electrodes to interfere with brain activity.
Severing of spinal cords in cats and monkeys, causing intentional paralysis to study neural responses.
Shipping American taxpayer dollars overseas, funding these cruel experiments in foreign labs with little oversight.
These actions are not only unethical but also represent a gross misuse of taxpayer dollars. Congress must act now.

We demand the following:

End all NIH-funded inhumane animal experiments, starting with those involving dogs, cats, and primates.
Enact full transparency by publicly disclosing details of all government-funded animal testing, including cost, location, species, and methodology.
Support and pass legislation like the PUPPERS Act, which would prohibit taxpayer-funded dog experiments.
Redirect federal research funding toward humane, modern alternatives such as organ-on-a-chip models, computer simulations, and other non-animal research technologies.
Enough is enough. Taxpayer-funded torture must stop.

Join us in demanding accountability and ethical reform in federally funded scientific research alongside a full DOGE investigation.

Sign this petition to protect animals from needless government-funded suffering and ensure our money supports humane, effective science.
