The Issue

Nowadays, Microsoft is now putting unnecessary AI features in Windows. As of 2025, Microsoft was planning to put AI agents in the operating system. This feature works by letting an AI model to take control of the computer to assist the user. We assumed that AI can see your screen to do actions behalf of the user. Therefore, the AI model can see the screen of an artists, and may use the captured artworks to train the model without their consent.

Celsys is a corporate known for speaking up against the harm of generative AI to human artists according to the article posted from their official website. This is what they said 'taken to heart':

  • Having something unknown in the app I use daily potentially infringing on legal or moral rights is unacceptable
  • Clip Studio Paint should be an app that takes responsibility for a safe, creative environment

Ok, do you think an operating system with built-in unremovable invasive AI agent a 'safe, and creative environment' for an art tool?

Yes, CSP removes AI feature in app. But... Do you think it's ok for human artists to have no choice to use an operating system that 'potentially infringing on legal or moral rights' because their art tool doesn't support a privacy-alternative OS (Linux)?

Windows is now becoming the AI image generator tool by itself. If Celsys hesitates to bring Clip Studio to Linux, they are essentially forcing an artist to run an CSP inside of an AI tool.
