The word ‘strategery’ was coined by Saturday Night Live in 2000 during the election, which came down to Al Gore and George. W. Bush. The word was used by Bush, played by comedian Will Ferrell, during a skit on October 7, 2000, to make fun of his frequent mispronounciation and slurring of words. The word became extremely popular afterwards and was even used professionally by both real politicians and the media. Nowadays it is used by military generals in an ironic fashion during meetings. In summation, it has been treated as a real word but is not labeled as such, and this page is a campaign to let Encyclopedia Brittanica know that this word should get the treatment that it deserves, a place in the dictionary.
