Encourage Western Canada's Secession and Joining to The United States

The Issue

The weight and urgency of this petition are deeply personal to me. The Trudeau administration, with its high carbon tax, firearms ban, vaccine mandates and numerous other policies, has threatened the traditional ways of life for conservative citizens in Alberta and other parts of Western Canada. As a US conservative, I bear witness to this situation from a distance, feeling their brewing resentment and understanding their deeply-rooted fears. It is not just about economics or politics. It's about preserving fundamental freedoms and upholding shared conservative values. Thus, I stand in solidarity with the vocal opinion held by many Canadian conservatives: it is time for Western Canada to secede and join the United States.

Key decisions such as implementing a high carbon tax have severely obstructed the energy industry, a crucial part of Western Canada's economy, leading to devastating job losses. Likewise, restrictive policies like the ban on firearms, have infringed upon the rights of individuals, raising critical Constitutional concerns.

Looking at the US—where states exercise significant rights and freedoms—the differences are stark. It's clear that the Trudeau administration's approach is at odds with the values of Western Canada's conservative populace. This division represents the need for a dramatic shift - one which would enable Western Canada to better protect its interests and freedoms.

Therefore, I urge you to sign this petition. Let us stand united, pushing for recognition and support of Western Canada's secession movement. By doing so, we can secure a more hopeful future not only for proponents of this cause, but also for those desiring a political environment that caters more vigilantly to their conservative values. This petition holds the potential to change lives in both Canada and the United States. Let your signature pave the way for that change.

Economic Alignment
Access to a Larger Market:

Western provinces like Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan could benefit from closer integration with the large U.S. economy, particularly through free trade with fewer barriers.
Joining the U.S. could reduce trade disputes and align regional industries with American energy, agriculture, and technology markets.
Lower Taxes and Regulations:

U.S. policies are generally more favorable toward business and industry, with lower corporate taxes compared to Canada.
Alberta’s oil industry, in particular, may benefit from less stringent U.S. environmental regulations compared to Canada's federal policies.
Stronger Currency:

The U.S. dollar is more stable and valuable than the Canadian dollar, potentially offering increased purchasing power for Western Canadians.

Political Differences with Ottawa
Political Alienation:

Many people in Alberta and Saskatchewan feel underrepresented by the federal government in Ottawa, which is often dominated by voters in Ontario and Quebec.
Regional frustration, especially over climate policies like carbon taxes, fuels the sentiment that the federal government does not reflect Western Canada’s priorities.
Cultural Differences:

Western provinces tend to lean more conservative, aligning more closely with U.S. Republican values than with the progressive policies common in Central and Eastern Canada.
Issues like gun rights, oil and gas development, and limited government resonate more with U.S. politics.

Energy and Resource Development
Freedom to Develop Resources:

Alberta’s economy depends heavily on oil, gas, and energy exports. Some argue that being part of the U.S. would allow them to develop these resources more freely, with fewer restrictions and better access to American pipelines and markets.
Pipeline Infrastructure:

Western Canada’s pipeline projects, like the Keystone XL, have faced numerous challenges under Canadian and U.S. federal regulations. Being part of the U.S. could simplify energy logistics.

Military and Geopolitical Considerations
Stronger Military Protection:Joining the U.S. would place Western Canada under the umbrella of the U.S. military, one of the most powerful defense forces in the world.
This might appeal to those who are concerned about global instability or border security issues.
