Encourage The Sims Team to Include Heterochromia in The Sims 4 Base Game
The Issue
The Sims 4, a popular life simulation video game series developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts (EA), and continues to delight millions of players globally due to its dynamic character customization features. Recently, the game developers have added vitiligo, representation, to the base game. This move was significantly appreciated by players, projecting a more diverse and inclusive representation of reality.
We believe that the next step towards inclusivity should be the addition of Heterochromia, (a variance in color in both eyes) it affects approximately six out of every 1,000 people in the U.S., according to the Medical News Today, but it would still help to add to the inclusivity movement being made here.
Heterochromia is not only an aesthetic difference, but it also represents a segment of the population that should be appropriately reflected in such a prominent game. Inclusivity should leave NO ONE behind. It is time for The Sims Team to demonstrate their commitment to represent the full spectrum of human individuality.
Let's encourage The Sims Team to keep broadening their horizons and include Heterochromia in The Sims 4 base game. Please sign this petition to show your support.
