Encourage respectful treatment of tenants by case management

The Issue

As someone who has faced numerous challenges in securing stable housing, I am deeply concerned about the way case management treats tenants in our community. It seems to be a relentless cycle where instead of offering support, they threaten eviction and make our lives more stressful. This is personal to me because I have experienced how they tell us one thing and then do the opposite, ultimately hurting our situation much worse in the long run.

I believe that case management should serve the tenants with respect and care rather than adding to their burdens. There are countless residents, like myself, who fear that every interaction with case management could lead to eviction or more trouble. This is not the type of environment that fosters secure and stable living conditions.

Moreover, there is the issue of parking garage space, which is intended for tenants but often mismanaged. Residents find themselves in constant worry about having their vehicles towed, adding further strain to their already precarious situations. A compromise is needed here—a solution that ensures tenants can park without fear of unnecessary punitive measures.

Our community deserves a case management team that acts with integrity and holds tenants' well-being as its top priority. We need adequate communication and real support systems that align with helping us thrive, not pushing us towards homelessness.

I urge the authorities to take a close look at how case management operates. We need a system overhaul that prioritizes kindness over threats and understands the immediate needs of the residents. Treating tenants with dignity should be the standard practice, not the exception.

Please sign this petition to make our voices heard and demand a transformative change in the approach of case management. Together, we can work towards ensuring that every tenant receives the respect and support they deserve. Let's make a difference and push for fair treatment from those who are supposed to assist us, not make our lives harder.
