Encourage Mission Health System to extend health care benefits to domestic partnerships.
With the start of a Domestic Partner Registry in the city of Asheville, North Carolina, it is the hope of the LGBT community that Mission Health System in Asheville, the regions largest employer, will extend health care benefits to include domestic partnerships.
- Mission Health System
Mission Health Sytem employs more than 6,000 people in the region of Western North Carolina. It is the hope of the LGBT community in Asheville that Mission changes its policy on health care eligibility to include domestic partnerships.
The city of Asheville approved a domestic partner registry which opened May of 2011. This registry could be used as a tool for Mission to decide who would qualify for domestic partner benefits. Currently, the issue is being discussed by leadership and it is the hope of the LGBT community in Asheville that our health will not be put off for another calendar year.
Please add your support by signing this petition and hopefully Mission Health System will acknowledge the health care needs of the LGBT community in Asheville.
