In Montgomery County, MD, my neighbor recently experienced a heartbreaking situation that demands public awareness and action. A pregnant, perfectly healthy mother raccoon was trapped and removed by a trapper, leaving a void in the local ecosystem and in my heart as a compassionate observer of wildlife.
