Encourage full maintenance in MBTA stations and tracks!

Encourage full maintenance in MBTA stations and tracks!
The Issue
Due to recent inspections, the MBTA announced its speed restrictions on March 10, 2023 for the Red, Orange, Blue, and Green lines. It was reported that certain tracks had defects that were simply too outdated and no inspections for repair. This caused a major hindrance as delays and trains were no longer in service, but other transportation methods that were provided to compensate were not effective. As a result, this focused another spotlight on the negligence of maintenance that MBTA stations and tracks have been subjected to.
According to our survey results, many people take the MBTA trains and think that the conditions of stations and tracks are important. Other than our survey, the MBTA website states that there are over 1 million daily riders of the MBTA.
The delays of public transportation affects not only Boston, but as well as many other cities. This issue doesn't affect only people who take the MBTA, it creates a disturbance for the people around them too. When public transportation becomes unreliable, people start to find other ways such as by car. This increases the already heavy traffic, creating more problems.
Present articles read that civilians have been injured because of the stations' run-down conditions. In some cases, even deaths and vehicle collisions during repairs were issued. We concluded that there needs to be some influence in order to at least provide the safety measures for commuters.
