Encourage FIDE to revoke Vladimir Kramnik's titles and ban him from FIDE-rated events
The Issue
Daniel Naroditsky, known as Danya in the chess world, was an incredible chess player, but even more so, he was an incredible human being. He was kind and humble, and over the past year he faced severe scrutiny from former chess world champion Vladimir Kramnik. As a result of these heinous, untrue accusations, Danya's mental health deteriorated. Kramnik, rather than say kind words about Danya has since been trying to place blame on others for Danya's death and speculate on what happened, saying someone must be at fault for it.
Rather than taking accountability for what he did, for the pain and mental anguish he caused, he has gone on a rampage trying to blame anyone but himself, going so far as to speculate that Danya was on drugs prior to his death and that his friends were at fault for not doing anything. His actions, through falsley accusing Danya of cheating and screwing with his life, have led to the death of a young man who had such a bright future ahead of him.
Kramnik has a record of accusing others falsely, going so far as to post a list online of every player he believes has cheated. It is quite hypocritical of him, given that he was banned from Chess.com due to violation of their terms of service. However, even then, he did not own up to what he did, rather attacking the individual who reported what he was doing.
Kramnik should be de-platformed, stripped of his titles, and banned from ever taking part in an FIDE-event ever again. He has done enough damage, constantly bullying, harassing, slandering, and being an outright disgusting human being towards others--especially his colleagues. It is time for something to be done about this behavior.
Rest in Peace Danya, you deserved better.
