Recycling can make a big difference if everyone puts in effort. I have seen firsthand how much waste we generate daily, and it’s alarming. By recycling, we can significantly reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and oceans. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), recycling one ton of paper can save 17 trees and 7,000 gallons of water.
Recycling not only conserves natural resources but also reduces pollution and saves energy. For instance, recycling aluminum cans saves 95% of the energy required to make the same amount of aluminum from raw materials.
