I am a passionate fan of the original Moana movie, and like many others, I was captivated by the beautifully written and produced songs that brought the film to life. The genius behind these songs was none other than Lin Manuel Miranda. However, it has come to my attention that Disney has not retained his talent for the sequel - a decision that could significantly impact the quality of Moana 2's music.

The original Moana soundtrack reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart and won several awards including a Grammy for Best Song Written For Visual Media ("How Far I'll Go"). These achievements are testament to Lin Manuel Miranda's exceptional talent (Billboard.com). His unique ability to blend traditional Polynesian sounds with contemporary music created an unforgettable auditory experience in Moana.

Without him, there is concern that this magic will not be replicated in Moana 2. Therefore, we are urging Disney to reconsider their decision and rehire Lin Manuel Miranda as songwriter for this much-anticipated sequel. His return would ensure continuity in musical style and quality which fans have grown to love.
