I take pride in living in such a beautiful neighborhood surrounded by top-notch neighbors all over the Deer Creek subdivision. For years, we have enjoyed the aesthetics and harmony of our tight-knit community, a place we are proud to call home. Unfortunately, for the past three years, we have witnessed an eyesore at the property located at the corner of 14th and Klickitat St. This yard has deteriorated significantly, marring the otherwise well-maintained appearance of our neighborhood.

Many of us have raised concerns about this issue repeatedly, yet no substantial action has been taken to address it. It's frustrating and disappointing to see that our voices have not yet effected change, especially when our neighborhood has such clear and fair guidelines laid out in the Deer Creek Homeowners Association (HOA) by-laws. The neglect of the property not only affects its immediate neighbors but also impacts the overall image and value of our entire subdivision.

According to the HOA bylaws, if a homeowner fails to maintain their property after being duly notified, the HOA has the right to conduct necessary clean-up efforts and place a lien on the property to recover costs. It's time we hold the homeowner accountable and preserve the beauty of Deer Creek.

I urge the Deer Creek HOA board members to escalate this issue urgently, enforce the HOA rules, and push for the cleanup of the neglected property. We mustn't wait any longer to restore the charm and dignity of our neighborhood.

In speaking with the City, the resolution lies with the HOA enforcing the rules and not the city.
