The Issue

Living in Quincy, Massachusetts and grew up in Braintree, Massachusetts and I know first-hand the need for more discounted grocery options in our area. Groceries are a basic necessity and ensuring access to affordable and quality food products is essential for our community.

Quincy is a thriving city with a diverse population and a growing number of families and individuals who would highly benefit from having an Aldi store. Similarly, Braintree, our neighboring city, shares this opportunity and necessity. Aldi is renowned for its commitment to providing high-quality products at affordable prices, and many of us have seen the positive impact Aldi stores have on communities across the United States.

Currently, residents in Quincy and Braintree have limited options for affordable grocery shopping. Supermarkets can be expensive and less accessible for low-income families, students, and seniors. Aldi's arrival would not only offer more options but also promote healthy competition, ultimately driving down prices in existing stores to the benefit of us all.

Moreover, the establishment of an Aldi store would create jobs and stimulate local economic growth. It would provide residents with employment opportunities and support the livelihoods of hundreds of people.

Bringing Aldi to Quincy or Braintree is a step toward supporting our community by making basic essentials accessible and affordable for everyone. With the many financial challenges faced today, this change could profoundly uplift our neighborhoods.

Please join me in calling on Aldi to consider opening a location in Quincy or Braintree. By signing this petition, we can show Aldi that our community desires and deserves more grocery store options that cater to the needs of all income levels. Let’s unite for a more equitable grocery shopping experience for everyone in our area. Sign the petition today to make this much-needed store a reality for Quincy and Braintree!
