Endbridge Inc. (a public Canadian company) runs the longest oil pipeline in the world (645 miles) and a portion of that runs through the Mackinac straits for 4.6 miles.

This oil pipeline has been running for over 60 years and if there were ever a leak the entire H.O.M.E.S lakes systems would be impacted in a devastating way. These bodies of water are the largest freshwater sources of water on the planet. This pipeline is old and they are having trouble using their technology to inspect them as of recent. This is too risky, especially since this company is already responsible for the LARGEST inland industrial oil spill in US history. Not to mention it took them 20 HOURS to respond to this oil spill. Why would the Michigan government let them do anything after this spill on the Kalamazoo river in Michigan?

The NWF (National Wildlife Federation) has already demanded emergency closure of this pipeline.
