I recently witnessed a relative suffer from the unjust practices of their employer. This experience has illuminated the harsh reality of how some companies treat their employees with disregard and indifference. The current employment law, ACAs, is merely guidance that employers are expected to have followed if they go to tribunal. However, many employers avoid tribunals and thus ignore this guidance in favor of actions that best suit them - lawful or not.

This situation is far from isolated. 

The current system does not adequately protect employees' rights but rather provides loopholes for employers to exploit. We need laws that truly safeguard workers' interests instead of just providing guidelines for employers.

It's time we demand stronger employment laws - ones that are enforced and offer real protection for employees against unlawful practices by their employers. Let us stand together in calling on our lawmakers to enact such legislation immediately.
