Over population of animals is causing shelters to be at maximum capacity. This is causing them to euthanize dogs, specifically, at alarming rates. This behavior is terrifying because some of these misplaced animals have owners and if shelters are killing them after 3 weeks then there is no hope for them to be reunited.

If things don’t change animals will continue to get abused. There will also continue to be a surplus of stray dogs being ran over, which can lead to car accidents. Not to mention, our companions will be at risk of being killed. 

Many rescues and myself have been working to get as many dogs as possible out of the shelter, however, that is only a bandaid. The only way this is going to be eliminated is if our government passes laws to control breeding, mandating animal owners to chip their pets, and spaying/neutering them. 

We need to do right by these innocent beings! Their lives matter! So let’s work together, sign this petition and put pressure on politicians to implement necessary laws!
