The Issue

On May 13th, 2026, our world changed forever when my baby sister, Ashley Bryant, was brutally murdered by her husband. She was taken from us violently, found lifeless on her bedroom floor by her own children. This heartbreaking tragedy is a stark reminder of the harrowing realities many women face in abusive relationships. Ashley was subjected to constant abuse, trapped by her husband's obsessive and possessive behavior. He isolated her, using technology to control her every move, and even demonstrated jealousy towards her own children.

Domestic violence is a pervasive issue, affecting countless women and families. In the United States, nearly 1 in 4 women have experienced severe intimate partner physical violence. It is vital that we take action to prevent more tragedies like Ashley's. We propose "Ashley's Law," which aims to enhance protective measures for victims of domestic violence. This law would include stricter monitoring of known abusers, providing victims with technology-free safe spaces, and extending restraining orders to include digital surveillance measures.

By implementing these measures, we can provide a safer environment for women like Ashley, ensuring they have the necessary protections to live without fear. Ashley’s story should not be forgotten. Her life was stolen in a moment of irrevocable malice, and it is our duty to turn our grief into action.

Please join us in this fight to save lives by demanding the government to enact Ashley's Law. Our sisters, mothers, and daughters deserve to live free from violence. Sign this petition and be a voice for the voiceless. Together, we can make a change.
