I, like many fantasy football fans in Raleigh, NC, have been waiting for the time when we can trade draft picks before locking in keepers. This not only enhances the dynamism of our fantasy leagues, but also adds another layer of strategy that requires foresight and football acumen. At present, the inability to trade draft picks hamstrings potential strategies and dims the excitement that the draft season usually brings. As per reports, many other major fantasy sports allow pre-season trading of draft picks, why not us? Currently, 59% of fantasy sports players agree that allowing draft pick trades before keepers are set will level the playing field (Harris Poll). This process could enable a new metagame of pre-season negotiations and trades that will reignite our collective passion for an amazing season of fantasy football. I'm personally invested this change, as I'm sure many others are, because of my love for strategy and the love of the game. Let's make this change happen!
