Enable Comment Section of our local Facebook page.
The Issue
Let’s unite and send this to our leadership to get the corrective actions to let us Comment again. Please sign and share with our fellow members that are interested in getting our Comments open again. Thank you.
The local Facebook pages of Union have become an essential platform for community engagement within our Union. However, the comment section is currently disabled and members are not allowed to post on both pages. This restriction hinders open communication and prevents members from sharing valuable information with their fellow members. According to Pew Research Center, 69% of adults in the U.S use Facebook and a significant number consider it a vital tool for community engagement (source: Pew Research Center). By enabling the comment section and allowing member posts and comments on our local Facebook pages, we can foster a more connected community that values open dialogue. Sign this petition to support our call for more interactive local Facebook pages in our Union
We would like the correct actions taken to resolve this matter in a reasonable amount of time with communication to the membership. A suggestion would be starting a new page where everyone agrees and needs to abide by the Social Media Guidelines for USW that is posted on the International page.
