Empower the Commons - a Movement to Restore Independent Media Accountability -

The Issue

Is it possible to hold corrupt institutions accountable? Is it worth trying? Or have we given up on having a say in the world in which we live? If you care about freedom of expression, open debate, and holding abusive powers accountable, It doesn't matter what political party you subscribe to, or what ones you have given up on. You can make a difference here, locally, now.

The Twitter files have demonstrated that U.S. Government agencies conspired with the keepers of our modern commons to silence the voices of American citizens in violation of the first amendment.

Our larger social institutions have been captured by corporate interests that are diametrically opposed to the best interests of us. What do we do about that?
We have to come together and talk about it first, and local, independent media is where we start. Help us restore integrity to your local community radio station so that the community can have a voice again.

The listeners of KBMF in Butte America, and around the world, deserve transparency and accountability from the 501 c3 that accepts tax free donations from the listeners and other granting organizations for the Social Justice, Workers Rights, and Education organization.

The Butte America Foundation has been compromised by corrupt board members who have broken bylaws, conspired to commit social justice violations,  covered up unlawful activity, and accepted member donations  under a fraudulent premise.

With confidence in crucial social institutions at an all time low, there has never been a time when conversation, debate and the free exchange of perspectives and ideas has been more important.  Independent media sources are necessary for community education and cohesion. KBMF is an important community asset for such conversations, and it must have it's integrity restored to faithfully serve the community that supports it, without the pall of power abuses and ethical lapses that tarnish its reputation.

Sign this petition to ask the members of the Butte America Foundation to terminate board President Suzanne Stefanac for the ethical violations she instigated, oversaw and committed in the fall of 2020, and to reinstate Dark and Ainsley Sevier to the KBMF airwaves.

Details of the case can be found here: https://darksevier.substack.com/p/a-call-to-action-in-support-of-kbmf and here:  https://darksevier.substack.com/p/in-defense-of-social-justice

Our final show on KBMF where we chose to suspend our program, Post-Orthodoxy, until the censorship and gag order issue could be resolved.  The issue was not resolved however, and the station manager and board president conspired to silence us on air, and withinn trhe organization:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGduu2W5F7A&t=13s&ab_channel=Post-Orthodoxy
