To whom it may concern:

I am writing this letter as I have some concerns about people receiving regular EI.

I am currently on regular EI, have been since the end of February 2020 when I lost my job.

My job loss was not due to Covid 19 it was due to business closure.

With being on regular EI before the pandemic hit, I was not eligible for any help from the government.

I continued to receive my regular EI payments and use my EI hours that I had earned working.

 As my EI claim will be ending in February 2021, and as the numbers of Covid 19 cases rise, and the number of jobs available diminish, what are your plans to help those on regular EI once their claim has run out?

Will you be extending claim dates? Will people be eligible for government subsidy through EI or Revenue Canada?

Could I please get some answers regarding this matter?
