Signing and allowing this petition to succeed will help show to Emma Willard School how many students and community members are in opposition to their support of Skylar Dailey. This petition intends to have Emma Willard stop it’s support of her, take down the article they wrote on the school’s website defending her, and take her picture down at the school. 
If this petition gets enough signatures we will bring this petition to the heads of school as a reason to take the post down, and we’d be happy to include any points that members of our community have on why Skylar Dailey should no longer be supported and praised by Emma Willard School. 
This petition aims to make Emma Willard School aware of it’s prioritization of their homophobic alumna’s rights over the LGBTQ+ community’s and her critics’. This prioritization is an example of Emma Willard School’s performative activism in it’s community. When this petition succeeds we aim to welcome and uplift the LGBTQ+ community on campus, and solidify Emma Willard School’s stance as an actual ally to the community. Emma Willard School’s performative activism on the LGBTQ+ community will hopefully be debunked and transformed into actual activism for the LGBTQ+ community with this petition. Thank you.
