Have Embry-Riddle move most classes online.

The Issue

In the spring 2020 semester, Embry-Riddle move classes completely online after the spring semester due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now with the pandemic 20 times the size it was then and with multiple confirmed cases on campus they plan to have full courses online in the fall of 2020. Why take this risk when we were willing to go online in the spring? Move most classes online to help contain the spread of this virus. Unfortunately, the federal government has announced that international students at school with classes completely online must leave the country or face deportation. This is unfair to international student from countries with ongoing conflict and poor internet connection as online learning will be very difficult in these conditions. For this reason, no less than 15% of classes should be offered in person to allow international students to remain in the country to allow a viable internet connection and allow learning at reasonable hours in the day. We would like to reach 60% the student body of ERAU DB campus to show a majority of students agree with this idea (about 3840 signatures). The decision must be made by July 15th per the federal government's deadline to report international students. Share with fellow students, let's help solve the problem of a spreading pandemic in a country that has already taken it for granted and still consider its effects on our classmates and friends.
