Every year hundreds of raccoons; some male adults, some soon-to-be-mothers, some who have not yet experienced a year of life are slaughtered; literally live-ripped apart by hounds handled by hunters in Tennessee. As in years past , this year on April 9th, 10th & 11th, St. Jude's Children's Hospital is overseeing the event in hopes of raising money for their hospital. Recently you donated monies generated by your infamous "selfie" at the Oscars to St. Jude's as well as to The Humane Society of the United States.

Every year several thousand animal advocates ask the Children's Hospital to embrace all things living as they do the heart beat of every child they nurture, to reconsider their ideal of raising blood-sport money through this horrific hunting tradition.
