Nicollet  Middle School has a dress code only set for the females, most of the females at this school are dress coded at least 3 times a week, ether there top is "too short" or shorts are "too short" or "revealing too much skin" and "causing a distraction"  but in a case if the males were wearing shorts that are usually too short for females . nothing gets said to them, i have asked many students if they find certain clothing on females "distracting" or if its affecting there learning they all said no. the females clothing is not a distraction to students but maybe to the teachers, the teachers are distracted by minors bellybutton? the teachers are distracted by legs. the teachers are distracted by a torso? that doesn't seem right, the adults are distracted by minors body , if we get enough people to sign this petition we hope that we can change the dress code so that the females at this school can wear what they feel comfortable in and they can express themselves in ways that they please without having  to worry about getting dress coded because the adults look at them other than minor students, without having to wear school clothing because a teacher saw a bellybutton and got distracted. we hope that we can change this for all the females at Nicollet Middle School. so they can be at school and feel more comfortable  in there own clothing and expressing themselves in a way they would like.
