Living in the beautiful town of Kincardine, Ontario, one expects to enjoy the refreshing breeze and serene atmosphere, especially during the warmer months. However, the persistent odour from the local sewage lagoon is disrupting this peace and is affecting my ability to sit outside and enjoy fresh air. Instead of the soothing scent of nature, residents are met with an overwhelming smell from the sewage lagoon, which has become impossible to ignore.
There are 100’s of kids that play in the soccer fields each year in spring and summer as well how unfair for them to endure that odour in this heat . 
This issue is not just an inconvenience; it impacts our quality of life and our community's well-being. The odour from the sewage lagoon affects outdoor activities, decreases property values, and diminishes the charm of our lovely town. Recent studies confirm that foul smells from sewage facilities can affect mental health and community morale, making it crucial for us to address this issue promptly.

We urge the local government to invest in solutions that can mitigate or eliminate the odour. Options such as covering the lagoon, upgrading the sewage treatment technology, or enhancing proper aeration can significantly reduce the smell. These methods have been successfully implemented in other communities and have shown positive results.
