Hospital workers in Hamilton are already facing enough pressure wage freezes, job cuts, and rising inflation. They show up every day to care for our families, our seniors, and our most vulnerable.

 

They should not have to pay out of pocket just to park at work.

 

Paying to go to work especially in healthcare  is unreasonable and unfair. At a time when many healthcare workers are stretched thin, adding parking fees only increases financial and emotional strain.

 

In fact, let me correct myself no one should have to pay for parking at a hospital. Not the staff, not vulnerable patients, and not the families and visitors supporting them.

 

Healthcare is not a luxury. Accessing care, providing care, or supporting a loved one in care should never come with a parking penalty.

 

Let’s stand behind our frontline staff and our community and demand change.
