Eliminate McGraw Hill Usage From U.S. School Systems

Eliminate McGraw Hill Usage From U.S. School Systems
The Issue
We, as concerned members of the educational community, want to highlight a pressing issue. As someone who has firsthand experiences with McGraw Hill's learning platform, I can attest to the challenges this system poses. In my experience and those of countless other students, the platform uses vague language, often posing complicated questions that lead to misunderstandings and incorrect answers. In addition to communication issues, the platform experiences many technical glitches that severely disrupt the learning process and contribute to increased student stress and compromised mental health.
Educational materials should be clear, precise, and supportive of student growth - a stance supported by the Department of Education's guide on effective instruction (U.S Department of Education, 2020). Unfortunately, the current construction of the McGraw Hill system contradicts these principles. We should prioritize utilizing systems that foster positive learning environments and stipulate the need for comprehensive error checking in these platforms.
Therefore, we urge the concerned authorities to consider our plea: the withdrawal of McGraw Hill from all schools in the United States. As members of this society, we must focus on improving educational practices for the betterment of our students. Please support us in calling for change and sign this petition.
